A shootout in a Mississippi Walmart makes two dead

Two people were killed and a police officer was wounded in a shootout early Tuesday at a Walmart supermarket in Mississippi, US media reported.
The e DeSoto County Sheriff Bill Rasco told the newspaper Commercial Appeal that the gunman was wounded in the shooting that occurred in the city of Southaven.

The two victims would be employees of Walmart, one of the largest retailers in the United States, the sheriff added.

The suspect was an employee until Monday.

The United States is regularly bereaved by shootings.

On Sunday, three people, including a six-year-old boy, were killed and several others wounded when a 19-year-old gunman opened fire at a food festival in Gilroy, California, south of San Francisco.
