Chicoutimi: a pedestrian struggles for his life
A pedestrian fights for his life after being snapped up by a car in Chicoutimi-Nord in the night from Sunday to Monday.
The 18-year-old was transported to the Chicoutimi Hospital Center.
Emergency services were called at 2133 Sainte-Geneviève Boulevard at midnight. The accident occurred in an area where the speed limit is 70 km / h. “The condition of the victim inspires a lot of fear,” says Sgt. Stéphane Pellerin of the Saguenay Police Department.
The driver of the vehicle was also taken to the hospital to treat a nervous shock.
Alcohol would not be involved in the accident.
A collision scene investigator was sent on site to try to shed light on the events. Traffic could still be disrupted in the area on Monday morning.
