Dead fish in the Outaouais: A hundred more
The Department of Wildlife, Forestry and Parks (MFFP) reports a fourth episode of massive fish kills in eastern Gatineau on Wednesday.
The E spokesman MFFP, Nicolas Bégin, does not specify in what rivers the fish have been found, but stressed that there are about a hundred specimens this time. They were found in the Masson-Angers sector.
“Our team was on the scene yesterday until the evening. New samples will be sent for analysis. We are going back today. ”
This is the fourth episode of the genre since the beginning of summer. Each time, fish of several different species were found on the shore, either of the Lièvre River or the Ottawa River – east of where the Lièvre flows into the Ottawa River.
