Ed Sheeran’s tour becomes the most lucrative of all time
Ed Sheeran’s “Divide Tour” is about to break a record.
The Pollstar publication confirms that the 28-year-old British singer’s tour will set the record for the most lucrative tour of all time with the Friday show in Hannover, Germany.
Pollstar predicts that the tour will have generated a gross total of $ 736.7 million, which will surpass U2’s previous record of $ 735.4 million in 2011.
Ed Sheeran issued a statement qualifying the record as “incredible”.
The Divide Tour began on March 16, 2017 and should end on August 26. It will therefore be stretched over 893 days compared to the 760 days spent on the road by U2.
Ed Sheeran’s tour broke the attendance record of 7.3 million viewers U2 held last May 24 in France, with a total of 7,315,970 spectators.
Ed Sheeran released her album “No.6 Collaborations Project” in July. It includes collaborations with Justin Bieber, Stormzy, Eminem, 50 Cent and Bruno Mars.
