Farmer of Saint-Julien dies crushed by his machinery
A 57-year-old man died Monday night in Saint-Julien, near Thetford Mines. The man was trapped between a tractor and a piece of farm equipment.
It was around 10 pm that the police officers from the MRC des Appalaches were called to the residence of 2nd rank west in Saint-Julien. The man was working with machinery on his farm in the evening and was alone at the time of the events.
His death was found on the spot by the paramedics. An investigator and the Forensic Identification Service were dispatched to the scene to reconstruct the scene.
The spokeswoman of the Sûreté du Québec, Béatrice Dorsainville, indicates that it would be an accidental death.
It would be the spouse of the man who would have alerted the emergency services, being inside the residence without news for a while.
