Menpad, one of the suppliers of Huawei, has unveiled a policy rather amazing. Employees deciding to purchase an iPhone are punish by a fine in the height of the price of the latter. For the purchase of a model Huawei or ZTE, a reduction is proposed.

It is a societal policy that would have something to gnash their teeth in other countries, but not in China. One of the suppliers of Huawei, Menpad, has put in place a system rather surprising for its employees. If one of them decides to opt for an iPhone X, which is experiencing a squeeze-out by Apple in order to finance the purchase of an iPhone XR/XS, at work, or the latter will simply be… punished ! A penalty amounting to the purchase price of the phone, it is what it is. On the other hand, if an employee decides to opt for a smartphone, stamped with Huawei or ZTE, a reduction of 15% will be applied…

A strange policy applied by Menpad revealed by the South China Morning Post, which has a specific purpose : to push for the purchase of local products rather than those, for example, from the USA.
