A residence razed by the flames in Saint-Augsutin-de-Desmaures
An empty residence that had just been sold was razed by the flames Saturday morning in Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures. The Office of the Fire Marshal is still investigating to determine the origin and cause of the fire.

Forty firefighters worked to extinguish the fire, which was declared under control around 4:31. The residence is a total loss, but no one was hurt or inconvenienced by the smoke. The Chemin de Fossambault was closed for a good part of the night and Hydro-Québec also had to make a load shedding away from the house’s electricity grid.
