An adaptation of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” shot in Quebec City
Patrick Huard will perform a Quebec adaptation of the American series “Brooklyn Nine-Nine”, intended for a platform of Quebecor. The artwork will be produced by ComediHa! and toured Quebec City this summer.
S police eries on the tone of comedy, and disseminated since 2013, first at Fox and NBC, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is set in a police station in the famous district of New York, which welcomes new boss stern and impatient . This is the first time this series has been adapted internationally, but other fictions have inspired Quebec titles, such as The Job ( The Job ), Mrs. Lebrun ( Mrs. Brown’s Boys ) and Complexe G ( Toren C ).
It is a return to the realization for Patrick Huard, which had proved its worth with Taxi 0-22 , Les 3 p’tits pigs and Filière 13 . This is good news for the Capitale-Nationale, which also hosts the film La dérape during the summer season.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine surprised everyone in 2014 by winning the Golden Globe for the best musical or comedy television series, in addition to best actor for Andy Samberg. The series has just been renewed for a seventh season at NBC.
The distribution and broadcasting platform of the Québec adaptation will be announced later.
