The coach of Belgian football club club Brugge, Ivan Leko arrested on suspicion of match-fixing. The police raided a few clubs and arrested Leko and former coach of Anderlecht, Herman van Holsbeke, reports Fox Sports.
The President of the “Bruges” Bart Verhage confirmed the searches in the office of the club. Also arrested was agents Mogi Bayat and Dejan Veljkovic and judges Bart Vertenten and Sebastien Delferiere.
It is noted that the investigation is conducted regarding two specific match-fixing. The arrests carried out in the framework of a large judicial investigation into tax fraud, money laundering and match-fixing in the top flight of Belgian football.
