The UK has consistently supported Ukraine in connection with aggression of Russia in the Kerch Strait, as well as related sanctions.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of great Britain, Jeremy hunt said that the sanctions are yet another example of how the international community is against Russia due to the fact that it constantly violates international law.
“Britain and our international partners in the EU, Australia, Canada and the United States sent Russia a clear signal that her attack on Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait and the Black sea last year was totally unacceptable,” said the foreign office.
The head of the British foreign Ministry also promised to continue to take the necessary joint measures in response to Russia’s actions to destabilize Ukraine.
“Russia should immediately release the detained 24 soldiers and return captured vessels… Russia needs to allow free and unimpeded passage of Ukrainian and international courts across the Kerch Strait and the sea of Azov,” — said hunt.
We will remind, on March 15, the United States and Canada extended the anti-Russian sanctions in connection with Russia’s attack on Ukrainian ships in the Kerch Strait. Under the restrictions were also Russians involved in the conflict in the Black sea.
