French media company M6 Metropole Television, has sold the football club “Bordeaux” investment company of Los Angeles, reports Reuters.
“M6 Group has today completed the sale of the football club Girondins de Bordeaux American investment Fund General American Capital Partners (GACP) for €100 million ($114 million)”, — stated in the message.
M6 was bought by the French club in 1999 and hoped to return to the glory days of the 1980’s, when Bordeaux won three French League Cup twice and the Cup of France. After a change of ownership team once won the League Cup (in 2009) and once in the coupe de France (2013).
“For the M6 flips the page for FCGB opens a new,” — wrote on his Twitter page, the President of M6, Nicolas de Taverne.
At the moment Bordeaux is the 11-th position in the French League with 15 points.
