Genevieve Everell to open a Sushi Counter at home in Quebec City
The “sushi sushi” Genevieve Everell keeps her word: after opening a first Sushi Counter at home in Montreal last year, in Hochelaga, the dynamic entrepreneur plans to open a counter in Quebec City in October.
If the native Limoilou was eager to settle in the neighborhood of his childhood, it is rather on the side of Montcalm, “near Cartier and René-Lévesque”, that the counter will see the day.
“All the business premises that interested me in Limoilou were rented for the long term,” said Geneviève Everell, who is very happy to have found a place in an old restaurant in the Quartier des arts, where her business will be close of the clientele and not too far from the lower town.
The offer at the counter will be the same as in the metropolis: bites, tartares, poké and sushi to which are added slate creations, for example a bowl “nachos” with seafood and won-ton fried or a toast with tartare.
The thousand and one projects of Geneviève Everell
M me Everell says that franchises should emerge soon in other cities in Quebec: “I have requests from all over: Ottawa, Sherbrooke, even Sept-Iles»
The person who is preparing a new cookbook for November – she will only say it is about “a crisp specialty” – will also add several new products to her Sushi range at home on sale in IGA supermarkets by September.
