Немецкие вирусологи: угроза заражения коронавирусом от смартофонов преувеличена

With the epidemic of the coronavirus often heard opinions about the dangers of smartphones, however, the German doctors said in the journal Fit for Fun: the threat of infection from contact with these gadgets exaggerated.

Regular thoroughly clean your phone with disinfectant they called an excessive measure.

The touch screens of smartphones have gained in recent years has been particularly bad reputation, which is not surprising: in a situation of rampant coronavirus infection people constantly hear about the threat of infection from dirty hands. But whether our cell phones so dangerous?

The German doctor-a virologist Marcus Egert from the University of Furtwangen, dealing with daily hygiene, says:
“Mobile phones are much less contaminated than many think.”

I agree with this opinion the head of the German Advisory centre for hygiene (BZH) Ernst Tabor. He stated that he did not see the need to thoroughly disinfect smartphones, because it’s a very personal subject that rarely is passed into the wrong hands.

According to him, for a person who regularly washes his hands and maintains the cleanliness, the threat of infection by the coronavirus from smartphones is more myth than reality.

The Federal Institute for risk assessment (BfR) agree with this. Its experts specify that “currently, there are no cases proving that people infected with the novel coronavirus resulting from the consumption of contaminated food or contact with infected objects. The main mode of transmission droplet infection remains”.

Virologist Marcus Egert added that to disinfect your smartphone or tablet should only the people who work in a clinical setting.

In ordinary life, enough to wipe the phone with cloth for glasses or a soft cloth (t-shirt) is quite effectively removes most of the grease, and microorganisms from the touch screen.
