The American company Google is planning to break the contract with the Pentagon for the development of artificial intelligence because of dissatisfaction of employees. It is reported BBC with reference to own sources.
It is reported that about four thousand workers have signed an open letter against participation in the project of the defense Department Maven. Some of them subsequently resigned, believing that the Pentagon can use artificial intelligence to kill people.
Google has not commented on this information. According to sources, the contract value is estimated at ten million dollars.
It is noted that the project Maven involves the use of artificial intelligence to analyze images and videos with drones and recognition of people on them.
Earlier it was reported that the American inventor has taught Google Home to shoot a gun at the team.
