The mistrust of Huawei is only growing over the weeks. After the USA and several European countries, it is the turn of Japan to express its concern vis-?-vis the chinese company.

The case Huawei concern around the world. To such A point that the US has asked its allies to be wary of the chinese company. The u.s. government accuses the latter a too close contact with the intelligence services of China. And while New Zealand has rejected calls for tender to Huawei in the installation of equipment dedicated to the 5G, it is the turn of Japan to express its growing concern. It is Yoshihide Suga, a spokesperson for the japanese government, which was expressed in this regard by explaining “the great importance to ensure the data security of the administration”. As a reminder, the Huawei products are banned in the us administration.

Relations between Japan and China has improved recently, Geng Shuang, spokesman for the chinese ministry of foreign affairs, has voiced its concern vis-?-vis this distrust of Japan for Huawei “We hope that Japan will foster an environment conducive to fair competition for our firms in china and do not affect the cooperation between us, the mutual confidence”. As a reminder, Huawei has lately admitted to the floor on its own OS : in case of sanction by the USA, the firm may no longer have access to the american technologies and so to Android, owned by Google.
