The Minister of foreign Affairs of Hungary Peter Siarto made another scandalous statement in the Ukraine. He accused Kiev in an attempt to change the ethnic composition of Transcarpathia in the style of “the worst of dictatorships”.
As the press service of the Hungarian Ministry of foreign Affairs, Szijjártó said that Ukraine wants to change the ethnic composition of the shoreline, and thus, “the policy of Kiev reached the appalling bottom” and reminiscent of “the worst dictatorship.” The Minister added that Ukrainian Hungarians can continue to count on the Budapest, and that he would bring this matter to the U.S. Department of state and the Deputy Secretary General of NATO.
We will remind, earlier in mass-media a video was published of the secret distribution of Hungarian passports to Ukrainians in the Consulate of Hungary in Beregovo, Transcarpathian region. Later a Hungarian passport were also found at several Transcarpathian officials and deputies. This provoked a diplomatic scandal and seriously raised the official relations between States. The Ukrainian foreign Ministry has said it will send the Hungarian Consul, and Budapest has promised in response to send the Consul of Ukraine.
October 4, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine was declared Consul of Hungary in the Transcarpathian city of Beregovo, which appears in the passport scandal, persona non grata. In response, the Hungarian foreign Ministry declared persona non grata by the Ukrainian Consul.
