48-year-old driver of Uber Jason Dalton confessed in a series of murders committed in the city of Kalamazoo, Michigan, in February 2016, according to BBC News.
Previously, he claimed that the Uber app ruled his mind and body pushed him to the crime, but shortly before the trial, the Dalton has decided to change his testimony. He noted that he wanted to testify, although his attorney was against it.
Jason Dalton on the night of February 20, 2016 for five hours killed six people in Kalamazoo. Victims Dalton picked randomly, none of the victims have not been a customer of Uber. Police noted that between the murders Dalton continued to carry passengers who have ordered a taxi through the Uber app.
He is charged with 16 counts, including the murder of six people and attempted murder of two more. He faces life imprisonment without right to parole.
Earlier it was reported that the authorities of Arizona withdrew from the company Uber a license to test driverless cars after one of them hit a woman. Also the service is banned from working in Israel.
