The military of DPRK and South Korea for the first time since the division of the Peninsula into two States, spent a few friendly intersections of the common border.
Soldiers from both sides watched the dismantling of the security posts near the demilitarized zone. The footage from the event shows how the military before crossing the border, shake hands, informs “bi-Bi-si”.
It is noted that since November has been undermined and dismantled ten of these points. Seoul hopes that these small steps forward will make it impossible to move in the opposite direction.
Recall that in late October, North and South Korea with the mediation of the UN agreed to the withdrawal of weapons and the dismantling of guard posts in the demilitarized border zone near the village of Panmunjom. The agreement provides for the elimination of each side at 10 border posts.
Dismantling positions on the border started in early November.
