Illegally condemned in the Russian Federation of Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov remotely controls the staging of the play in Kyiv and is preparing to publish a book. This was stated by Deputy Director of Federal service of execution of punishments (FSIN) of Russia Valery Maksimenko, reports TASS.
The official noted that the Director normal condition after prolonged fasting, and that he is full of energy and creative plans. According to him, Sentsov remotely manages the production of his play, the dystopian “Rooms”, which satirically reflects the relationship between people. Premiere to be held in December in Kiev.
In addition, Maksimenko said that the Director plans to write a book, and send it to a publisher to publish a collection of short stories about his childhood in five languages. He added that the first pilot copy of the book autographed, he plans to give the leadership of IK-8 (where he is serving his sentence), “because he believes that it’s treated like a person, not violate his rights, claims to leadership of the colony no”.
The Deputy Director of the Federal penitentiary service also said that Sentsov in the colony reads “War and peace” by Leo Tolstoy, as well as studying English, preparing for future release. He’s Russian and Ukrainian citizenship, he also is an honorary citizen of Paris.
Recall, 25 August 2015, the Ukrainian Director Oleg Sentsov was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment in a strict regime colony. He was accused in Russia of preparing to commit terrorist acts in Simferopol, Sevastopol and Yalta. May 14, 2018 Sentsov announced an indefinite hunger strike. The mother of the political prisoner appealed to the leadership of the Russian Federation with the request for pardon of her son, but the Kremlin did not heed to her requests and said that a pardon must write directly to the prisoner himself.
