The holding Akhmetov began to build one of Europe’s largest solar power plants

October 4 DTEK oligarch Rinat Akhmetov started the construction of solar power plant of Nikopol in the Dnipropetrovsk region. After completion she will join the three largest solar power plants in Europe.

As reported by Ukrainian news, the design capacity of Nikopol solar power — 200 MW. It is planned to install about 750 thousand panels and 80 Central inverter stations type. The size of the investment in the construction of 230 million euros, to complete its plan in early 2019.

At the same time, the system will include other project DTEK – coastal wind power capacity of 200 MW and a cost of 150 million euros. These two stations will allow to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by more than 600 thousand tons per year.

Earlier in Chernobyl opened the first solar power station.
