Final changes to the Constitution regarding the consolidation of Ukraine’s course to the EU and NATO will be taken, tentatively, in late winter or spring.
This was stated by the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andrii parubii in an interview to Rada TV channel on Friday, September 21.
So, he explained that for Ukraine such changes in the Constitution have a “fundamental and strategic value”.
“And I am proud that the Parliament has given a vote of 321 in the first stage,” – said the speaker.
While Parubiy stressed that changes to the Constitution usually take in several stages.
“First we realised, that the direction of the question to the constitutional court, then the output of the CCU, another vote of 226, and then at the next session – a vote of 300 votes,” he explained.
Paruby also said that the final decision may not be voted on this session.
“This will be done in the spring or late winter,” – said Chairman of BP.
As informed you earlier, the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada sent to the constitutional court the presidential bill No. 9037 on amendments to the Constitution regarding Ukraine’s course of Euro-Atlantic integration.
